Carrion de Los Condos - Sahagun

I stayed at a 13th century Montestary in Carion and it was the best stay I've had in a cute private room. The bells sounded beautiful in the morning. I've been alone the past few days although yesterday I passed friends that were walking. Today everyone was new since I can go twice the speed. The ride was primarily flat and easy so I got to Sahagun very early and had a ton of time to explore, grocery shop, go to the doctor, etc.
For the past few days my back has been covered in itchy bumps and I feared the dreaded bed bugs, with a pharmacist confirming. I treated for 3 days then went to the doctor today and it turns out i have an infection that had nothing to do with bugs. Whew! I now have meds for my various problems and I'm forging ahead.
I'm staying at a nice and quiet municipal albergue that's a restored church from the 16th century. It was only $6 and I have a pretty private set up. Tomorrow is my last bike day and I'll be riding 35 miles to Leon.
This old bridge has very famous history behind it.

  1. It wouldn’t be an adventure without some obstacles. Luckily our childhood gave us the ability to power thru and problem solve. You’re a beast! 🌻💪💕
