Leon

The bike ride to Leon was a bit longer but I enjoyed it. I arrived on a busy Saturday and had no idea there were so many festivities. There were stages being set up and there were crowds of people having a good time everywhere you looked. I happened upon a Medieval Festival in the old town and it was bustling into the morning when I awoke. Lots of food, drinks and music. I managed to visit the Roman Museum/ ruins, Cathedral and walk and ride my bike around to all the important places. There were hundreds of restaurants and bars in a very compact area. I was surprised by all the graffiti. I ended up getting a good nights sleep because I returned the bike and I wanted to rest up for the final two weeks of walking so I didn't partake in the night scene.
I made it to Villar de Mazarife very early today. Tomorrow I walk to Astorga. Im looking forward to it because I hear they have Roman like thermal baths and my body could use it :).
